I have to submit to His authority when my friends wrong me and I want to hold a grudge. This attitude negatively affects our relationship with God, which then affects our worship. Only in total submission to His authority and sovereignty can we worship as He created us to. In the second worship war, Satan tricked Eve into thinking â€Å"worship is all about how you feel.† While worship is a response to how we feel about God, and can generate feelings of intense closeness to Him, â€Å"how we feel† during our worship experience should not be the lone barometer on how it’s judged. If we only judge worship by how it makes us feel, we will be judgmental of the ways other s prefer to worship. We also won’t focus on the right things in worship†¦giving God praise and glory. It’s not about us, it’s about Him. True worship should not be measured by things such as atmosphere, raising hands, applause, congregational readings, etc., but by the believer’s heartfelt response to God. The transformation of the believer’s life is a true measurement of authentic worship. He/she has been in the presence of God and therefore forever changed! God provides us with several important lessons on worship through the third worship war in the story of Cain and Abel.
